The Challenge
Rowing Follow Toby as he rows(Swims) his way around Dubai, follow him for tips and motivation that will help you to be able to complete the equivalent of rowing(swimming) from Abu Dhabi to Dubai by the time you reach the festival date. Watch his stories for motivation on training and achieving your goals
What can you expect to see?
- Incorporates full body like swimming
- Increases cardio strength
- Leg strength
- Arm and shoulders
- Core
- Same as swimming
- Start easy and do 300m for the 1 st 3 days. Working on 1 minute per 100m
- 4 th to 6 th day increase to 500m
- Maintain time per 100m at 50 seconds per 100m
- 7 th to 10th day increase to 45 seconds per 100m
- 11 th to 13 th day increase to 40 seconds per 100m
- 14 th to 16 th day maintenance of time over 500m
- 17 th to 19 th day, 500m at 40 seconds per 100m, 1 minute rest, 300m at 45 seconds per 100m – 800m total
- The participant will now focus on increasing these times, then they will increase to 1000m and ultimately 1500m
- Every week, top 5 will go into a draw to win a Garmin voucher, tag Garmin.ae in your stories showing your Garmin connect and win prizes on the 30 th November.

Steps: Get your steps in. Make those steps count, walk your way to a marathon distance of 42.2km. Walk and burn calories at the same time, up your game and increase the step count each day and work your way up to completing 42.2kms by the time of the Garmin Fitness Festival, follow Sara for motivation and tips, and see how she gets her steps in daily. Come meet Sara and friends on the day and challenge her to a 5km run.
What can you expect to see?
- 5000 steps per day for 1 st week
- 7000 steps per day for 2 nd week
- 8000 steps per day for 3 rd week
- 10000 steps per day for 4 th week
- 10000 steps per day for 5 th week
- Most accumulative steps by 30 th November wins a Garmin prize
- Weekly accumulative steps wins a voucher
